Ole Miss has announced that they will be bringing Chucky Mullins jersey back for the Chucky Mullins award winner.

Really glad to hear of this, but it seems a way of appeasing the fans who are pissed about other traditions.

Thats why it was retired in the first place, because Patrick Willis wanted to keep his own number. So they retired the number and made the award a patch.

I like how we passed around #36 last year.  I think it'd be a good idea if MSU did like OM and awarded either N. Bells #36 or K. McGees #21 each year.  Better yet, award both, #36 for outstanding defensive senior, #21 for outstanding offensive senior.

It's always a great thing to memorialize a fallen player, and I think sometimes wearing those jerseys makes you feel like you have something to live up to. Win/Win. Bi-Winning.
