[Dooley's Perfect Part]

The state of TN is loaded with talent this year. We'll see if Dooley can land who he wants from this class. Last class he got everyone he targeted, this past year we missed on two guys who we were really after. All in all '13 is starting out like it will be Dooley's best class to date. Time will tell if we will be able to hang onto DB Mackensie Alexander who is one of the top dbs in the entire class next year. He has yet to visit Knoxville and everyone who is anyone will be after him.

Watch Vonn Bell closely. He's a real talent right here at home.

I would be too. I understand having a strong academic base, but that was stupid. Just because you fail a class shouldn't hurt your chance of going to a school of your choice. But hey I'm happy we got him. He could start day one.

Phillips did show up out of shape and overweight. Understandable, but he's got some work to do to get in the rotation this year. Thankfully we finally have some depth along the defensive line. Sentimore is going to be a beast.

How many restraining orders do you have against you now?

I figured I'd let y'all in on what we got going on in Knoxville. Since Jones has been hired we've picked up a couple of guys, most important of them being Ryan Jenkins who not only gives us a shifty player to throw in the slot behind Pig Howard, but is good friends with Carl Lawson, who we are all in on trying to turn from Auburn.

QBs
Riley Ferguson remains our only commit, but Jones seems to be pushing for Arizona State commit Joshua Dobbs. Dobbs has been thought to be a possible MLB draftee, but if he were to come to UT he is taylor made for Butch Jones' offense. Another 2013 QB in the mix is Kyle Kempt, a former Cincy commit in the mold of Tyler Bray.

RBs
We are after RBs  Alvin Kamara, Derrick Green, and we are also working on committed players Peyton Barber(Ole Miss), and Tyren Jones(Alabama). Jones has shown conditional interest depending whether or not Alabama takes Kamara. Derrick Green seems Michigan bound, and it seems UT is on the outside looking in with Kamara. Contingency plans abound however, with the likes of Kaleb Blanchard, JoJo Kemp, Jon Ford, and Corn Elder.

WR
This is one of the bright spots in the 2013 class. Committed players Jenkins and Harris are good prospects, and if Tennessee lands NC 5 star Marquez North, it's WR haul would be reminiscent of the 2010 class with Hunter and Rogers. Alabama WRs De'Runnya Wilson and Nate Andrews have also been contacted, the latter of which is committed to Minnesota.


OL/TE
With All-SEC TE Mychal Rivera gone and only two scholarship players remaining, UT has been after quite a few prospects at the TE position. Two have committed, AJ Bransiel and Chauntez Jackson, although it's believed the latter might make the switch to defense. UT looks in good shape with JUCO TEs Branden Vandenburg, and Woody Quinn. Quinn is a little underrated and looks to be athletic. Similar skill set to current NE Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski. Would be a nice fit for Butch Jones' offense. On the OL, UT has been solid, the headliners being TN prospect Austin Sanders and OH prospect Dan Skipper, who has gained some substantial offers in recent weeks, OSU among them. UT seems to be pushing for Reeve Kohler and instate prospect Christian Morris who is currently committed to UCLA. Morris would be a big get as Butch Jones looks to increase Tennessee's presence in Memphis and the greater West TN area, something that has been lacking for quite a while.
