What about Gonzalez who went to LSU?

You think Meyer will grovel and beg for forgiveness?
I doubt it.

honestly malzahn would be the most logical choice, I bet he would consider taking the job under the circumstances.

I hope we look outside the program for our next OC. I don't really see a viable option on our staff.

As for some of the names being mentioned in this thread:

Malzahn - You really think Meyer and Malzahn will work out on the same staff. I don't think so.

Gonzalez - Couldn't get our receivers to run decent routes while he was in Gainesville. Don't want him.

Whittingham - If you think he's leaving Utah to be an OC, you're nuts.

Mullen - See above. Replace Utah with Mississippi St. and add extremely in front of nuts.

Honestly, I could see Meyer looking to the NFL for our next OC just like he did with the DC position.

Also, I hope Addazio isn't just being demoted. He needs to be shipped out of Gainesville entirely. I really don't have a clue who a possible replacement would be for the O-Line, but whoever it is, it will be an upgrade.

Truth of the matter is, only the doctor that performed Steve's lobotomy knows the answers.

This guy was almost your head coach.

Actually, right after Meyer announced his resignation, Bob Stoops called Jeremy Foley.  I'm beginning to wonder if Foley made the right decision...we'll know next Spring.

I think Mike Sanford (the OC at Louisville and Meyer's former OC at Utah) is the guy Gator Nation needs to be paying close attention to.

He ran a VERY good offense at Utah!

I for one would like to start a petition on behalf of all SEC fans who don't cheer to UF, that we sign and send to UF that they need to keep everything in place as is.

Exactly...his offense at Utah was unstoppable...ask Nick Saban. ;)

Foley needs to think of a number...add several zeros to the end...and head to Louisville.

After bowl week, Meyer will just panic again, and give Adazedio-and-Amazedio a contract extension.....

"Florida's coordinators go off to get head coaching jobs.....Georgia's get fired" -One of you Gators on here

All kidding aside we all knew this was going to happen. But with Meyer being the offensive mastermind he is, then you would think that the offense would not have struggled like it has

Ugh, I'm pretty sure that was me.

Addazio has some sort of voodoo spell over Meyer. Did anyone watch him speak at Media Day yesterday?
He was pretty much singing the same old tune about how we failed to execute and our game plan wasn't the problem. I'm actually sick to my stomach thinking about it.
It doesn't sound like Addazio's going anywhere...

The same could be said about Richt...he was the offensive mastermind behind f$u's offensive success in the late 90's which included a National Title.  As I said in another thread, assistant coaches can make or break a head coach.  Give me one case where a head coach was successful while employing crappy assistants.

BTW...I'm pretty sure that's my quote...did you copy and paste that and save it?  To quote one of your own, Bry, how long have you been waiting to pull that quote out? :)  I typed that over a year ago!!  All jokes aside, at the time, it was the truth.  I'll admit, now, it's not...I honestly think my mechanic...who volunteers for my old HS football team, could do a better job than Addazio.

Both of us may have said it...and it was true at the time.  As far as Meyer's statements re: Addazio...sounds like "coach-speak" to me.  He isn't going to do anything until after the bowl game.  I know the boosters are calling for Addazio's head...they pay Meyer's salary...I don't see how Meyer could let this "dog and pony show" continue.
