I really like this stat. This one explains what most of us realize about the gators, and what gator fans are delusional about.
Team A - Returns a seasoned QB and 2 biggest offensive weapons/production from last year.
Team B - Lost 96% of offensive production from last year. 60% of the rest of the output left with that one player. Also only returning ONE of 5 top recievers.

So let me ask you this. Do you think A) Any of those players from UK would have been signed by UF out of highschool and B) Any of those players would compete and win the starting spot at UF right now?
Again, it's apples and oranges. The teams are in two different classes of football. That's evident in the lopsided nature of the rivalry.
It's like comparing UK basketball and SC basketball. It's not a very good assessment to think SC would be favored this year because KY lost nearly their entire lineup and SC returns most of theirs.

True, but the Gamecocks upset UK last year. Tell me why that same scenerio can't play out this weekend.
Let me help you...... you can't.

That's exactly what I was going to say. Fatty's point is 100% INCORRECT and POINTLESS. BECAUSE!!!!! USC did in fact upset UK in basketball. Which is exactly the same comparison that we are trying to make right here in football season with UF and UK.
UK is WAY more than capable of beating UF. This year more than any other because of UF's huge drop off in production. According to the stats, UF lost 98.5% of their offensive production. And you know what? It actually shows!

Ask your coach...
Meyer talking about Cobb
“I think he's a dynamic player that's going to play at the next level, and I can't wait to get him the heck out of this league,” Meyer said. “That's probably what I told him. I'll tell him that Saturday, too.” At Media Days, Meyer expressed to Cobb his disappointment that the Gators hadn't recruited him out of Alcoa (Tenn.) High School.
“I'm trying to find out whose recruiting area that was,” he told reporters this week. “I'd fire them if they were here, but they're probably gone.”

Like I said in the thread that Pudding moved to smack talk. If you're so certain of an upset, put your money up. The line is at 14. I'm very confident UF will win the game. Whether they make the line or not, is another matter (I'm not totally confident about that).
Again, it's reasonable to think UK will cover. It's pretty bold and out there to actually think they'll upset FL. FL has way too much defense, way too much depth and again, even with our struggles, we're scoring 30+ points a game. Just imagine what the game looks like if we don't muff punts or put snaps on the turf............

Jeff Demps had to count for more than 4% of our offense.
700+ yards rushing

He never said it couldn't.
No one has said that it couldn't.
What we're saying is that it would be a monumental upset. Not quite a fluke, but something like Ole Miss of 2008.

I get that you're trying to piss us all off. It's working.
But which is it, 96% or 99%?
Or neither?
Carolina beating Kentucky last year in basketball was a complete fluke.

That's like bragging about beating Tennessee in football this year.
Doesn't mean much because everyone knows they suck.

96% was tebow alone.
the other 2.5% came from losing the other players that were a big part of your offense.
Yes, Demps is pretty much the 1.5% of your production from last year that returned.
