So one of my great friends is in the Bahamas on business.

He happens to be an LSU fan (and former player) and he's playing at the craps tables at the Atlantis.  He's having a good time and one of the guys he's been playing next to taps his arm and motions to his left and says....hey, that's Roy Williams.  My buddy turns and sure enough, it's Roy Williams, head coach for the UNC Men's basketball team.  So after a few minutes, Roy and an associate join in the conversation and it somehow comes out that my buddy is an LSU Fan/Grad.  So Roy says...."we got you guys first up....what do you think about the upcoming UNC-LSU game.?"

My buddy, says "I think we're gonna mow them over them like grass."  At which point, Roy gets a really mean look on his face and gets really pissed off and calls my buddy a bastard.  So my buddy notices that Roy has chips on the pass line, and my buddy says "I'm a bastard?  F-off, I hope you crap out ROY....." and the next roll is a 7 and the entire table laughs.  Apparently, Roy didn't like that too much, so he turns to my buddy who at this point is having to square up against against him.  In the process, he steps sideways and knocks the drink out of Roy's sidekick's hands and the guy gets nose to nose with my buddy and says "you just spilled my drink..."  to which my buddy replies "lick it up MF...." so there's some minor chest bumping and typical pre-fight posturing going on and the security shows up and escorts both Roy and my buddy out of the casino.

Noteworthy details are that Roy was VERY drunk, wearing UNC apparel (shirt) and gambling.

Apparently, the UNC basketball team had traveled to Nassau to play an exhibition game against some school or team there.

So my buddy calls me up and tells me the story and says "mark my words....in the next 2 years, you're going to read about Roy Williams in the news for some alcohol or violence related incident."

I got a kick out of the story and thought the best part was "we're going to mow them over like grass."

This story would be more believable if i didn't sound like something out of the movie Roadhouse.

This story compares well to Nacho Ninja's story of the meanies at Alabama threatening to beat him up if he didn't buy them some nachos.

Firstly, for those of you who think the story is outlandish or unbelievable, you really need to get out and live a little.  If that's shocking or unreal to you, then you're probably a giant loser who thinks that fixing a flat tire on the side of the road is a traumatic and life changing event.

Secondly, I have no reason to make up the story or fabricate it.  I'm not even an LSU fan.

Thirdly, like I said, in a couple of years when Roy Williams comes up in the news for something anger or alcohol related, remember this story.

I've never heard of a coach (at any level) who would be out at 3:00 a.m. gambling and drinking in school-logo attire.  My buddy's response was a bit over the top (but if you're gonna ask someone's opinion, don't get angry when they give it to you), but MOST men in positions of authority and responsibility would have simply went elsewhere, not called the guy a bastard.
