First ever prime time, nationally broadcasted game.

Offensive pass interference to win the game! Ranager pushed that DB down!

Actual quote from Ole Miss athletic director after 2010 season:
“He asked me what I thought about the coaching, and I said that I’m really not qualified to answer that,” Boone said.

Actually have that on VHS, got it as a Christmas gift years ago. Think Bama Fever sold some classic games and I got that one along with the Goal Line Stand against Penn St. Hell of a game.

My first year at Bama but I do not recall watching it on TV.  I do recall the radio broadcast and all the hoopla after.

Truth was, it was a down year for Bama and I recall Bear rumbling about retiring.  After the Ole Miss game, Bama lost to Vandy 10 - 14 and went on to be 7- 4 and then lost to Colorado in a bowl game.

I remember Scott Hunter for being the "interception king" at Bama more so than the opposing QB to Manning in that game.

Does dog shiv leak from your ears? That was a great game with two wonderful teams. Trying to down play it is ridiculous.

Dog Shiv??  New one for me.  I apologize if I "down played" the fact that it was a very enjoyable game for the Ole Miss fans; even though you lost.

My point was, Alabama sucked that year and Hunter was one of the most overrated QBs Bama ever had; particularly after having some truly WINNING QBs in prior years.
