I'm pretty pumped about this. If its half of what Band of Brothers was it will be awesome. My DVR will be primed and ready to record all these. It'll be a change in that The Pacific focuses on three main characters, whereas BoB focused on Easy Company.

Ready for the 14th to hurry up and get here.

Crap. I'm gonna have to get HBO now. I loved Band Of Brothers, I've got it on BluRay, DVD, my Desktop and converted over to my PSP. This will be my next project.

It's supposed to be more intense than BoB, and like Jacob said, focus on just a few guys. read that article if you havent done so already. The next book I'm going to read is "With the Old Breed"

I actually work with Eugene Sledge's son. He has been in close contact with the producers of this project, even Tom Hanks. He's scored me an invitation to an official premier that HBO is holding in Mobile Next Weekend.

Definitely pumped. If you don't have HBO just look for the episodes the next day on isohunt or demonoid and download them. It'll be worth it cause I'm sure everyone's gonna be talking about these.

Anyone watch Generation Kill? I've been told it's worth checking out but not in the same league as Band of Brothers.
