Cool with me. I watch recruiting with an eye toward a very loose interest. I don't get too wound up over it. lol It's just something to do at this point.

Yes, well, @Benny and the rest of us had a SECTalk town hall meeting earlier this week, and the request was put forth that opposing teams (mainly rivals) don't clutter up a team's official recruiting thread. I don't remember if you were posting when that took place.

Just trying to honor that request.

I haven't poked my head in the Om forums in a long time. There's a reason for that that I has nothing to do with the rules. I really just don't care. But, yeah, we needed stricter enforcement in that area.

i think a poke here in there is ok, and ill admit that i show up to stir the pot over there when things get stagnant, but its mostly meant to be taken with a grain of salt and i think MOST om posters get that....and i doubt they mind that much, however, constant baiting and trolling is different and having a opposing fanbase commandeering a rivals page is too much.

as far as the daniels thing relates to a current miss state recruit and om potential-flip, lets read into it a bit.

daniels feels that it might actually happen, which gives reason for concern.  hes sees various things that all the sudden seem contradictory to what he was originally told.  he doesnt want to be the odd man out if jones was to go to om, so he is exploring his options and feels somewhat spurned.

now, the reaction to this by the om staff is also telling in regards to how the feel about their chances in getting jones.  they are plenty deep enough, so they only need one out of daniels and jones?  i highly doubt they would have an emergency in-home today if they felt 75% confident that they were getting Jones (as om sources report).....so, that (in a round-about way) tells me that the confidence is not nearly how it has been supported, and if anything, they look to be on the short end of the proverbial recruiting stick as it relates to jones.

the depth at om at de tells me they dont want 3 de's in this class.....somebody would transfer out of om because of pt issues.....so if they were as confident in flipping jones as they appear to be, why try to stop the auburn visit?

as indicated, jones is most likely headed to state.  things seem to change hourly in this saga, but hes consistently said hes headed to state and he is reportedly a high-character guy.  reading between the lines, you can see how this ends.

I definitely don't think this is some conspiracy by Jones and Ole Miss to screw with State like some of their fans seem to think, but what I'm worried about is that Jones may just have no idea where he wants to go.

While Ole Miss' reaction to Daniels seems like it's a good thing, it's possible that it is a complete 50/50 split right now in Jones head between us and Ole Miss.  If he was 100% a bulldog he wouldn't want to have in-homes with both Freeze and Mullen.  Not a visit, mind you, where you can get all the perks of being on campus.  It just seems like a very personal thing to do, and honestly I bet Jones will use this to decide where he is going.  The part I don't like is that I don't know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

jones, cox, shump, sandberg, thomas, gray....those are our 4 *'s or better on either scout, rivals, or 247, just so that i am prepared on nsd, let me in on where these guys are headed so i can congratulate that school for their effort.

as far as daniels goes, who said he was going to state?  i jusked asked if yall had burned any bridges with him...there was no implication by me whatsoever that he would be a dawg.  its pretty clear that if he is solid on om, yall simply arent getting jones, which is echoed by some yet to be identified source.

There's some smoke on daniel. He very well may end up at OM but for some reason there's some major uncertainty with him. I've heard his camp has in fact reached out to auburn and us.
