22 Signees right now.

-Minus one placed at JUCO (not signed) - Ulric Jones
-Minus one greyshirt - S. Austin

Leaves us with 5 more spots:

1) Mackenzie Alexander
2) Mackenro Alexander
3) Javhere Irvin-Sills
4) DeRunnya Wilson
5) Either DL or 0.01% chance at Conner

I'd imagine that if we can't get #4 or 5, then we don't ask Austin to greyshirt.

According to 247 just now, we've offered the O'Korn kid.  I'd be fine with him or Dobbs, but it looks as if Dobbs may not be flipping this late.  Or we are offering both as a security blanket.

6'5" WR DeRunnya Wilson will be committing tonight from the looks of it.

Brewster is a beast. He beat out an Auburn offer for an Alabama kid.

Played one year of football, raw WR talent. 6'5" with hops, could be great.  We found him first, Auburn and UT jumped in.  He's the big reason we are asking Austin to gray shirt.  He and Alexanders are the guys we didn't plan on getting in with late.

Im hearing Sandberg doesnt really know what he wants... He wants to go to school, but its tough turning down money. Im guessing it depends on the team that drafts him. If he goes Red Sox he will have a better chance of making the big bucks than if he went Oakland or Kansas City.

this is why we cant depend on flipping recruits.....our track record under mullen on flipping current commits to other schools is terrible.  thinking that we are gonna flip recruits from anywhere because we are mighty miss state is a poor recruiting strategy.  if sandburg plays baseball, we are totally screwed especially considering we didnt take a qb in last years class.  wtf is going on....this is how teams end up with henig type players running the show.

its a big gamble...
option A: we get only sandberg and he stays at MSU-we view it is a good call
option B: we get both sandberg and o'korn and both stay-we view it as a very good call
option C: sandberg goes MLB and we get O'Korn-view it as a good fall back plan

option D: sandberg goes pro and dont flip O'korn-view it as WT :lanekiffin:  you stupid mother :lanekiffin: 's, WT :lanekiffin:  were you thinking, :lanekiffin: :lanekiffin: :lanekiffin: :lanekiffin: :lanekiffin: ....

so i guess we just have to see how it plays out to determine the amount of, if any :lanekiffin: 's will be needed...c'mon Feb 6th...
