whats the story with wilson??...i dont much about him besides he is a very big frame...

He's a guy who played mostly basketball in highschool.  I think he may have played one year of football so no one found him until this season.  He's 6'6".  We offered first, Auburn offered a few weeks later.

It's down to MSU And Auburn (he's from Bama)

I think we get him, the twins, Dobbs, and a DL

Brewster is absolutely killing it

that would be a tremendous close to this year's class...

what is going on with scott austin??...are we really asking him to gray shirt??...seems early to be asking a 6'4" WR to gray shirt when we need WR's and we aren't 100% with Corey Smith anymore...but maybe thats just me...

Austin probably won't play in the SEC for at least 2 years. He looked lost in the AL/MS game with guys with equal talent.

We won't allow him to wait.  After his visit to whatever school he's committed to this weekend he has to choose, so Monday or tuesday

If he has truly committed to us, this is a HUGE get for Merlin and MSU! ELITE 4 star talent, pretty close to a 5 star grade. This makes us not being in the game for Connor insignificant. Add his brother to the mix we get two STEALS and majorly address secondary depth and talent, and address it with one high end ELITE talent and one who is much more than servicable.

Excellent work Merlin and co. Nice to see us finishing a recruiting class with talented top notch surprises and not 2 star john doe's

Both of their player profiles say Brewster was their "main" recruiter.

This guy's addition to our staff cannot be overstated. How Merlin got a former borderline successful Big10 head coach to be happy as a position coach for us is amazing to me. Always been an outstanding recruiter and player developer, credited for developing Antionio Gates into the best TE in the league out of nowhere, and we saw how much better fundamentally Chris Smith and bumphis got throughout the year. This guy learned offense under Mike Shannahan, we need to let him move up and be an integral part of our offensive game planning so we can keep him around as LONG as possible.

Merlin is doing a great job with this class and our future as a program. I hope he can continue to string strong recruiting classes (I still would like more TOP offensive linemen and offensive skill players) so we can start beating some tough SEC competition. I REALLYlike seeing him continuing to modify our staff each season with younger, creative minds with NFL experience. Good for development, and it is good of Merlin to surround himself with top notch recruiters. Our coaching staff has gradually shifted in its appearance from looking like a hodge-podge of coaches working for a cocky guy getting his first chance, to a staff with the kind of mix of big names, young creative and hungry minds, NFL experience, and veteran leadership that you see in big time programs. Here is to hoping Brewster can get us a Vince Young before he moves along....
