I was doing some reading up on the Vibram Five Fingers, a shoe that provides protection but gives you the feeling of being barefoot, which is pretty cool, and was thinking about trying them out. They get great reviews and everyone who tries them loves 'em. Does anyone here have any experience with them?
I'm back, :lanekiffin: ers.

SLAP
I own a pair Sean, make sure you know what size is correct, because that can be tricky. Incredibly comfortable and great for fishing.

One of my buddies has a pair. He told me they were extremely comfy, but like O_T said, be sure to get the right size.
I've never heard a bad review really and very great for outdoors/water/beach stuff.

How are they for running? I read that to get yourself accustomed to them, instead of breaking the 'shoe' in, your feet muscles need to get broken in to them, if you get what I mean.
I saw someone at the gym wearing them, and we were all basically pointing and laughing, but I actually want to try them out. They look hella comfy.

Haha I want some of those...they look pretty cool actually.
My only question would be, would your feet sweet a lot like in Cros. Yes I did wear cros at one time.

That has to be the worst possible place I could think to wear them.
If you drop a weight on your foot with those on, HOLY CHRIST....

They don't offer much support, so if you got bad knees like myself, you cannot run in them. They are best for fly fishing or shallow water fishing when you are standing on some rocks. I don't do a lot of that type fishing, but they give you great balance on a boat too.
The shoe itself teaches you to rebalance yourself using your toes instead of the ball of your feet. Pretty neat concept, however it is odd at first.
