Mine is tomato sammiches. But I can't make em' with just any tomato; To get that "I'm a kid again" feeling, it has to be home grown, preferably still warm from the sun. I'll slice it up thick, put it on two heavily mayo'd slices of white bread, add black pepper and salt, then find a shady spot outside and enjoy.

Mine would have to be a good ol' bacon and lettuce sandwhich (mayo on both pieces of bread of course). (Didn't develope a taste for tomators untill i was about 13)

I used to go to my Grandma's every morning as a kid before school and she would have bacon frying at least 1-2 days out of the week. Watching cartoons and having a bacon sandwhich... Doesn't get much better for a kid my friend.. Or an adult!

I'd also have to say later on in life when I first tried one of my Grandpa's home grown tomatoes with salt, pepper and mayo... Man on a hot summer day you can't beat it.. They are even better after swimming.

ooh, a po'boy on Gambino's bread sounds good right about now. Guess I'll be heading to Ponchatoula's for my late lunch today. Although I'll skip the oysters and go crawfish.

Red beans and rice, with lots of sausage. Mmmmmmm. It's comforting while eating, not so much afterward if I forget to take my purple pill.
