We definitely cannot pull in too much talent in the secondary... If we can build up our linebackers and secondary even into slightly above average units we're going to have a tough defense, and with the guys we're bringing in, we might actually have a truly good defense within the next two years for the first time since Tubby left...
I think we might already be there at LB.

Our two deep next year might look like this:

OLB - Cass McKinzy (Consensus 4*) Justin Garrett (3*)
MLB - Kris Frost (5*) Tre Williams (5*)
Star - Robenson Therezie (4*) Rashaan Evans (5*)

I can't wait to see Josh Holsey finally get playing time at CB. He's a special player. We need to buy time for Bessent, Roberts and co to get experience.

I think we might be, too... Of course the true freshmen will have to prove they can do it at the collegiate level, but they're looking like pretty safe top talents so far.. We could be one year away (2015) from actually having a top 30 defense again. I'd say we could go higher, but the nature of our offense is going to make it tough to ever be better than that. If McKinzy and Frost can improve upon their solid years this season they're gonna be an excellent tandem next year, especially with Tre Williams in the rotation.

Holsey and Mincy should both be solid this year... it's gonna hurt losing Davis and the Ryan duo, but I think Whitehead and Mackenro could step up at safety to help Holsey and Mincy at CB... Between them and the guys in this class we can at least cut down on some of the ridiculous passing yardage we gave up in 2013.

We won't have to stack the box, our athletes are better. Read the first sentence, Auburn won't have over 175. Bet anything you want, it's not gonna happen. That's the one thing Bama can do without a doubt 100% mark it down, and have been for years.

If you're going to bet, it will be longer than signing day. This is a rivalry that lasts 365 days, you would have to at least keep it until next football season or this isn't even worth mentioning. Besides, Bama could be winning late in the game and the scrubs get the 200.
Either way, it won't be happening to Bama's defense.

Rashaan Evans has eliminated Ole Miss and Georgia. It's just Auburn, Alabama and UCLA now.

Alabama and Auburn will now be the only visits Rashaan will take.

Both Alabama and UCLA worry me a bit, but now that Auburn is getting the final visit I feel much better.

Andrew Williams has said multiple times that visits are the key to his recruitment and he will be visiting Auburn for the fifth time this weekend. He hasn't visited anyone else even three times.

I think Evans and Williams to Auburn are two of the worst kept secrets in recruiting, but will still be a relief to see them put ink to paper.

I don't see a surprise in this class.

I think we finish with:

Rashaan Evans
Andrew Williams
Demetrius Kemp
30% shot at Braden Smith
20% shot at Treon Harris

That's enough for a very elite class.

Would love to grab Braden Smith... I don't see us getting Treon after his BCSNCG statements.

We've cooled on Jordan Prestwood because of Ricky Parks' decision to walk on. I don't think we're recruiting him anymore.

Both Roc Thomas and Stephen Roberts have been confirmed to be visiting Auburn this weekends to make final decisions on their majors and to recruit Braden Smith and Andrew Williams.

Need to develop these LBs and be strict with them. Something Cheezwiz knew nothing about.

4 star DE Davon Godchaux, who is committed to LSU, will also be visiting this weekend. He's coming off major knee surgery and I see him as a very solid LSU commitment, but if you're looking for a possible surprise i this class, this is the guy.

One more in the surprise department, Steven Parker looks to be visiting on the 31st as of right now. He's been an OU lean forever but he's been picking up a lot of Auburn steam lately. He's an elite safety, which seems to be a big last minute target position.

I didn't think we'd land a surprise player, but it looks like it wouldn't be from a lack of trying.

I think Parker will be our surprise. Maybe ole Bob will go to Cleveland and they lose all momentum with him and we blow him away in the visit right before signing day.
