Now that it's out in the open (Click Here), I guess it's fine to post it here now.
President Witt and his wife of over 25 years plan to file for a divorce. If some of the things I've been hearing are true, then this will turn out to be a pretty big story in the coming months.
I'm not going to post any "details" on it, because everything I've heard is possibly just rumor.... and I don't want any negative press for the guy if it's not true.

Did anyone else scroll down and read the comments posted below this story on the link? What is this, the 1950's? People on that message board are making divorce out to be low morally. Those comments are just ridiculous! Some even say that the president of the university should resign since he and his wife are getting a divorce. One woman said she was going to resign from being a house mother at the university because of it...good grief!

Some parts of the deep south are still in the 1950's. Our Lt. Governer Andre Bauer was attacked in his last election because he's in his 30's and not married. It's a sad commentary, but unfortunately it's just the way it is in some places.

The only reason I posted the CW article, is because it was the only one I could find on it that didn't require you to login. :)

Others were more upbeat and logical. It's really none of anyone's
business, as you say.
Now, if they were having wild sex parties with dogs at the mansion, well.....................
[I am, of course, being flippant with this last bit----I was only alluding to and drawing an inane parallel regarding former President Clinton's unfortunate circumstances. Although this may be something to raise one's eyebrows at, it'sreally their own bowl of soup.]

Did it say he should resign because they're getting a divorce? I'm sure plenty of others in the area have heard some of the rumors on the situation, so they might be basing that post off of more than simply the divorce. I'm not going to post any details, but again there's possibly more than meets the eye regarding this news. We shall see....

Yeah, I can see what you are saying. I got engaged less than a month before my 30th birthday and was quite relieved! I was afraid people would wonder what was wrong with me if I didn't get married soon! My friends told me if I lived in New York that I wouldn't be worried about it. I would still be partying with a lot of single people in their 30's.
