YouTube - Terrance Boyd *Show me no Mercy*
He's a bit tainted so wasn't allowed to play his senior year. I think WKU can give a kid like him a shot and following a Sweet 16 year looks cool for Boyd. I know Ole Miss and a few others are on this former Oklahoma and I believe Arkansas boy.

Kid sounds like nothing but trouble. He didn't even wait for college to start getting himself and his family paid. First time I ever heard of a high school player getting pay for play.
Terrence Boyd denied in final appeal
ESPNU 100 Terrence Boyd has been denied in his final attempt to gain eligibility at San Diego High, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Boyd transferred from his home in Oklahoma in the fall in order to play with ESPNU Super 60 center Jeremy Tyler.
The California Interscholastic Federation's San Diego section ruled there was "undue influence" from the San Diego High coaches in bringing Boyd to California, notably rent payments made by an associate of Cavers head coach Kenny Roy on behalf of Boyd's mother.
The ruling means Boyd will not have played any high school basketball in his junior and senior years. He was denied eligibility in his home state of Oklahoma last season "for receipt of improper monetary benefits from a third party" while he was a sophomore at powerhouse Oak Hill (Va.) Academy, according to the paper
The 6-foot-5, 230 pound shooting guard has offers from Oregon State, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Kansas State and Kentucky.

You live under a rock. I know a former UF player who got paid in H.S. You know what? I had no problem with it. His fam needed it.
Completely different scenario than this one.

I don't think we'll be hurting too much w/out him.

"Johnny, we're going to kick your ass today." -UK Coach Fran Curci to UT Coach Johnny Majors before Curci's last game.
Final score....UK 21 - UT 10

Actually no it's not. I never said which kid. It's all the same. Payment is payment.
We don't want kids turning to crime or drugs yet, we don't want their skills for good being used to make money either.

Your right. You still won't have a Top 25 OOC win and Billy G will still underachieve.

You had a kid taking payment that didn't move across the country to play high school ball. This one did. Completely different unless you want to provide more.

Actually the kid I am referring to traveled across country for the very same reason and no, I am not naming names because I see no problem with it. When High School kids are poor and have a chance to get a leg up in life shooting a ball and not getting in trouble, I think most people need to lay off these kids.
