All our previous commitments have either enrolled early and are in the school system, or have now sent in their LOIs. We got a commitment from LB Moore, who has also now signed. The only loss could be DL Keith Bryant signing with FSU, but he was always an "icing on the cake" type of prospect that we weren't ever very strong with for very long, but would've taken if he wanted to come. Gives us one more slot for the 2014 class which looks to rival the 2010 cycle for top in-state talent, and we're strong with MANY if not most of them already.

This class IMO is a lot like classes we've taken under Spurrier from time to time, where the "stars" are not as high as with others but the overall quality of prospect is very strong across the board. The 2006 and 2009 classes were like this one, and came just ahead of the 2007 (highest ever rated class) and 2010 star-studded classes. Those classes were chock full of quality players that weren't highly rated but ended up being great players for us (Norwood, Brinkley, Munnerlyn, Cook, Paulk, Swearinger, Cunningham, Legree). These classes have filled in the role players we've needed to complete the starting units, and many of those "role" players ended up making All-SEC teams.

2013 is still a top-20 class that fell just short of being a top-15 class. But the class from top to bottom is full of quality players that had the numbers to warrant 4 stars despite only getting 3. The OL position and QB position is among the best we've brought in under Spurrier. The LB position very well filled a definite need for us, and there's a lot of athleticism and versatility on the defensive side. The RB position has deepened an already very deep position for us.

I'm excited to see what these kids can add to our program, and hope all of them make it past admissions (we always seem to have 1 or 2 go prep or JUCO - I know Vickers is destined to be a sign and place, but I meant beyond him).

About a month away spring camp begins!!

Great points all around. Since Spurrier has been here we've had coaching staffs that do a great job of evaluating talent, then coaching up the talent once it gets here. I expect this class to be another example of that. Filled needs and brought in talent across the board.

Plus I think it's another one of the many examples of how far Spurrier has brought the program. 16th ranked class and we're going "another solid class". There were days when the 16th class would be a huge deal. Not that this class isn't going to turn out to be a great thing, but we're at the point now where it's par for the course.

Overall we had a very very good class.  I'm more than statisfied.  

We landed our:

• #1 QB target
  
• #1 RB target
  
• 6 LB targets including our #1 target in Bryant
  
• 5 olinemen including our top 2 targets
  
• 4 dlinemen all with big offers to other school some consider more elite.

   While I would have liked to have seening a true shutdown corner all signs point to Pharoh Cooper being the steal of our class.

  This is how you build a championship team.  Inside out.  I am one happy Gamecock right now.

2014 4* OLB Bryson Allen-Williams committed to South Carolina today. Had offers from Bama, UGA, Clemson, etc. 2nd recruit of the class.
