There is talk that Chaz Ramsey might transfer to Miss State (he's a Miss native). CTT has stated that Ramsey is still enrolled in school and is still in good standing with the team. He is currently missing practice while he is getting therapy for his bad back. He is projected to redshirt this year to recover from his back issue. Last year he started at Guard in 10 games as a true freshman and looks to have a very promising future at AU.
Does anyone know anything else about this?

basically disappeared from what i've heard from the players. he's still in school, but doesn't come to the meetings or anything. could be thinking about transferring, could be thinking about whether he wants to continue playing football at all after his back injury.

If I were a coach I wouldn't release a player to another SEC school.

Totally agree! Look at the wasted scholarship and time you have invested in the player, and its not like he was getting overlooked he started as a freshman!

what really disturbs me is how Tubby doesn't know for sure. Even if he's receiving treatment for his back he's still on scholarship and should attend all practices/meetings he can. i understand that his back maybe hurting, but he's still part of the team. it just seems to me that by not going to any of the practices or meetings his days at Auburn are numbered.
It seems like he's quite selfish if he transfers. Played as a true freshman at Auburn, got his back hurt and now wants to transfer cause he can't play this year?

I really do not understand this move. I mean is he afraid he cannot win his position back next year or what? This is what sux having to wait and see on things like this and not having a clue what is going on. Tubby knows what is going on he is just not speaking out until a decision is made.

Well I dont have a clue as to what is going on concerning this situation but I bet there are alot of things that we are not considering. Ramsey and his family were getting death threats after the chop block incident at LSU. That may have some thing to do with this. The back injury may be to a point that he is reconsidering football all together. I do know that he is a good player and CTT wanted him to play/start if possible. I'm sure there is alot more going on than what we hear.

his conscious started bothering him. The coaches kept insisting he chop block, but he had converted to Christianity.

I make a similar post in the Bama forum and get a "warning" via PM. Just shows how screwed up this board can really be.

FWIW a poster on another forum says he ran into Chaz around Auburn and asked him about the rumors. Chaz said he had no intention of leaving AU and the only reason he was not at practice was because of the back therapy. Take it for what it's worth.
