McClellan, Bush and the Press
The Bush Administration still has about eight months to go, but the first big former insidertell-all book is out and our Readers Who Comment are all over it. Scott McClellan, the former White House press secretary who spent an enormous amount of time at the podium defending Bush and the war in Iraq, says it was sold to Americans with a sophisticated "political propaganda campaign" led by the president, aimed at "manipulating sources of public opinion" and "downplaying the major reason for going to war," Michael Shear reports.

This provides the ammunition our RWC need to replay two themes that have consistently been part of what they have had to say about both the current administration and Iraq:
1) Bush should be impeached.
2) The press, including The Washington Post, didn't do its job in questioning the need for the war before it was started.

Hate it for W and can't say that he ain't got this and a whole lot more a coming. No need to waste time and money impeaching him as he's only got a few more months left in office.

As for the press, why single out the WP when the entire backbone of the Libs flailed away at W and NEVER pursued it with any zeal of its own??? Did CNN, the NYT, AJC, LAT, NBC, ABC, or CBS make nailing W a priority or is it now that his time is at an end that they lament failing to do so? Perhaps had they not been sucking up to Nancy, Murtha, Obama, and Hitlery they would have.

As the details and true story are told about how all this post 9-11 stuff unfolded, one thing that has been foisted upon America is an onerous new bureaucracy called Homeland Security and if Congress doesn't reel it in very quickly, it will take over the Nation.

"Georgia has to be considered one of the most talented teams. Look at schedule: going to SC, ASU, LSU, Auburn and playing Florida. That has to be the toughest schedule in the country. If they survive, they make it to the SEC championship. There is no way that Georgia gets through that schedule, no matter how good they are."

The NY Times is just as guilty as both Cheney and Bush. The Times through their own stupidity and laziness allowed Cheney to plant a completely false story on their own front page using one of their own reporters, Judith Miller. Cheney and Bush then used this "NY Times front page story" as their whole basis for going to war with Iraq.

That's is what I'm talking about geechee, that and so much more. This tart Plame played them like fiddle music and eventually succeeded in getting Justice to go after Libby and they got him alright, BS and all. If the average person realized just how much of THEIR money was involved in just the political nonsense of charges and counter charges and investigations, they would either pass out or have a stroke!

I'll be the first one to call BS on W and much of his facade surrounding the justification for going into Iraq but the fact remains that taking out Saddam Hussein was going to have to be done and the US was going to be involved, even if it was under UN auspices. Same deal with Iran, eventually there will have to be a solution to their problem, either via a regime change or by military means. I don't believe that Israel will hesitate to strike when Iran has a delivery system ready and so we have until then to pursue the subversive regime change ploy.

For all the BS that has gone on the last 8 years, I still haven't come to the decision that the Congress should waste enormous sums and its time chasing ghosts or simply busting caps in Bush's cronies' butts but I do believe that the really heinous stuff should be pursued and all involved held accountable. That is only right and none of us would expect less.

This is sour grapes from a man who got pushed out of his job and longtime position.  It happens all the time.  Let's make a little money selling books instead.  Who is going to read a book that says that Bush's cronie agrees with him?  It's all economics and sour grapes.

"Got pushed out of his job?" Where did you get that from?
