my apologies. i was mistaken. i was under the impression that bryant was not in either one of these halls and i am glad that you have informed me otherwise. i thought you were speaking of shug jordan. when you metioned the field, i thought you were intending the stadium instead. yeah ok. pat dye did do some crazy stuff. and yes he was a cheater but the field is named after him primarily because he lead the tigers to a 30-20 victory over the tide on december 2, 1989 in the first installment of the iron bowl to be played at auburn after 41 consecutive meetings at legion field in Birmingham. just because he was the first to coach the field. and again. my apologies.
