Boy, Tar Holes, you sure got the luck of the sky-blue billy goat about you! You narrowly escape a whippin' by the 22nd ranked Chants and pulled out an extra-inning win 4-3 in the 10th. Maybe next time!

Don't see the point in taunting the Tar Heels when the Yardcocks got beat by a worse team.

I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. Coastal Carolina has not played The Citadel yet (they play on April 24th). The Chanticleers almost beat UNC, and did beat Virginia, who is ranked #7 and is 10-1 right now. What does The Citadel have to do with this thread? We'll (Gamecocks, not Chants) have our chance to redeem ourselves on May 9th. We'll probably be #1 again when we do play them.

What do you consider to be a worse team? The Citadel at 6-4, or maybe Mississippi at 7-3? I mean, come on, Wright State? Looks like you must've found out about The Citadel cancelling their trip up to Minnesota for the Dairy Queen Classic: Linky. They were going to play ya'll on Sunday, weren't they, and we could've seen then who's "worse". I doubt you would've bad-mouthed them had they still been scheduled to play you. I'll guess we'll have to wait and find out April 20th (when SC plays Miss).

The UNC baseball team may have escaped with a win, but their #8 basketball team didn't get out of Atlanta with one. They lost to GT last night 84-77. They haven't beaten GT in Atlanta since '01. Like 6 games. That's 2 losses in a row for the Heels, and will likely take them out of the Top 10. That will leave the ACC, still called the top conference in CBB by the media, without a single team in the Top 10.
