No clear cut starting QB? That would be kind of worrisome if I were an Alabama fan. Sure it could be that both are just that good, but you need a clear leader IMO

Either both are doing well or both doing bad. We'll know very soon. Nothing too unusual for Saban in this situation, same scenario played out in 11. Schedule allows for this competition to play out for a few games.

I'll be worried if both look Posted Imagety though.

Why tip your hand to the QB starter when you can force WV to prepare for two different QBs?

We won't know anything for a while... it will depend on who learns the plays best and can execute them consistently. I am not going to fret. We will let that fall on the coaches. That is what they do best!

Kinda random but I'm watching the SEC Network. Why would you have a commentator named "Booger" ?

The last time we had this sort of uncertainty at QB it worked out well.

Not nearly as concerning for a team who has had #1 recruiting classes for the last 7 years. With that backfield, the QB doesn't have to be great anyway. I'm hoping the same for UGA

I don't think they are going for game manager this time and I don't think we're going to see much "base" defense.  I doubt we'll see that many 340lb nose tackles any more.  Robinson is listed at 320 and is actually one of the heavier guys.

I think we'll see Jonathan Allen, A'Shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed, and D.J. Pettway as the front 4 on defense often.  Reed is listed as a defensive end, but he is a heavy one.  IDK it's like we have 2 different defenses composed on the same depth chart.  Clearly the pieces fit together one way for pro set teams and another for spread teams.  It will be interesting to see how they sub out.

Saban stressed fitness level a lot when talking about guys like Depreist coming back from injury and Tim Williams coming back from suspension.  I think this defense is meant to be lighter, faster and more aggressive all around.

Neither AJ nor Sims looked good in that opener three years ago. AJ just looked.. less awful.

My point to that is, don't hit the panic button if both QBs scuffle in Week 1. give this thing time  to unfold and play itself out.

I'm so ready to get this season started... I think I anticipate this one more than I have one in awhile. WVU will be a good test to get our qb's feet wet and see how we look at db. I think this year someone outa all that talent is gonna breakout into an Upshaw. I'd love to see some opposing qb's get banged up I feel like this year we may have one.
"I didn't come to Alabama to win 10 games a year and be a contender. I came here to win championships, Conference Championships, and National Championships. I love it here because that's not just what I want, but what this fan base expects." -Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban
