Me and my gf are heading down to Savannah this morning from Hilton Head. I've been several times so I know about the riverfront and Tybee. Going to Ms Wilkes Boarding House, but I'm looking for fun stuff to do off the beaten path.  Also any cool Civil War museums would be good to know about.

Also if anyone can vouch for any of the barbecue joints out here on HHI, it'd be appreciated.

CIvil War stuff: there is a fort about half way between town and Tybee, I forget the name.

Yep, I saw one kicking the Posted Image out of a hummingbird yesterday, and then it flew off with my neighbor's daschund... had to shoot it in the eye with my pellet rifle to get it to drop the dog and get her back safely.

We've got em but not swarms I have to scrape off my fender after a 2 mile drive.  Kinda like our rampant deer population issue.
