Just from what I've heard from watching Saban, I think Sims is going to win this job. I don't think that is a bad thing either. Everything I have heard about Coker, is he is very inconsistent. Anyone else heard anything??

I would be completely fine if Sims wins the job. I think people have been hyping Coker up to something that might be impossible to reach.

Coker's coming along a little slower, only because his lack of familiarity with the offense. I think he probably has higher upside in terms of pure passing ability, but
Sims could provide a very dynamic presence.

I hear Sims is looking good but I would still be surprised if he wins the job. I haven't heard anything much about inconsistency from Coker, he's solid short to intermediate. Apparently he's over thrown quite a few WRs on deep balls though, so everything hasn't been positive.

I still think it's Coker first, we can win with Sims. But a NC? Shaky.

I think we'll see both play... and I wouldn't be surprised to see our offense look a little different with Sims running it.

I like the smash mouth style but it would tickle the Posted Image outa me to see the best athletes in the country run a little hurry up you ain't ready.

What I am hoping is that someone will step up and win the QB job leaving very little room for questions. That would be ideal. Just a bit more time and I hope it will be crystal clear.

My only concern about Sims is game speed. He has great practices, but even during A day he was atrocious. If he wins the job I hope he can relax and let the game come to him, but I have my doubts. I just think Coker has a much higher ceiling and even with the first month of him adjusting to game speed and his receivers.

I expect the competition to go into the first 2 or three games. Much the way it went with aj and p. Sims.

The reports i heard  before summer  from mobile were exactly that also. "coker inconsistent having trouble with the throws"    Sims will get a shot and blow it.... i  expect coker to come on the field and be serviceable

If Sims gets named your starting QB, I'll jizz myself.

Most people expect Sims to start the first few games, with both QBs getting a fair amount of playing time.  I would not be surprised if that holds true through the first four games--to our first by week.

If Coker doesn't win the starting job pretty easily..... I just don't see how that bodes well for Bama.
God forbid they end up going 9-3 instead of 11-1.
