In the spirit of homerism, I see aubs not covering 21 points. In the spirit of dreaming an Arkansas victory, we choke away the 17 point halftime lead and Abe Lincoln wins us the game by kicking a 70-yard field goal in a pair of spats and arm floaties shaped like ducks.

I actually dreamed that the other night, why,I don't have a clue. But it was raining hard and our fullback scored a td from the one yard line just before half.

Appearently the second half was blacked out in my area.....

It means UGA is favored by 9.  If you bet on UGA with a line of -9, UGA has to win by 10 or more points for you to win.

Same type of thing for over/under.  If the over/under is 50 (don't have a clue what it is for this game), if you bet the over, you win the bet if the total points scored by both teams is over 50.  If you bet the under, you win the bet if the total points is 49 or less.

So if i take UGA at -9 and they win by 3, i lose still?

The oddsmakers try to set the line so that they get a 50/50 split on the wagering.  If the wagering is highly skewed one way or the other, they adjust the odds trying to get people to bet the other way.  So you may or may not see the odds change a little over the next few weeks up to game time, depending on how the betting goes.

That makes sense. So if Bama plays Kentucky its not a 50/50 wager at 0 Bama -30 would make it a more difficult bet.
