Pretty straightforward SEC idea, if you are dismissed from an SEC team you are barred from playing for another one. A dismissal becomes conference wide. No more UGA players winning rings for Auburn.

What do y'all think?

So if you are dismissed from a team you can no longer play for that team?

UGA did a thing for years that put their dismissed kids at a GA JUCO (GMC) and after a semester or two let them back on the team. The rule would prevent that sort of thing.

This half of the rule is dumb, but the other half is great.

I should've known it tied back to UGA somehow..

If a kid gets kicked out of school why would you let them back in? Let them start over somewhere else.

I suppose it may be a deterrent to some who want to play in the SEC.Maybe that's what they're looking at.

Personally I don't care one way or another. If programs want to invite a potential distraction to their team and danger to their communities for the sake of success on the field, then more power to them.

If I lived in a college town,I wouldn't want the program in that town bringing in thugs to my community.

I live in Knoxville. It isn't bad, just the occasional vandalism at the Universities dime seems to be the major upheaval. You have to take into the fact that 18 to 25 year old people's brains are still developing, and in a lot of cases they feel the world is dependent on their hormones and the dumb decisions they make off of those hormones. I'm not condoning what they do, but the majority of stupid stuff that happens ever is usual done by people 18-30 something. The true dumb people continue those patterns. As far as true thugs, Knoxville just has wannabes.
