Yeah that kind of stuff is always fun. I think it was neat they predicted a guy would be walking around with a phone even if it looks nothing like the phones we have.

Cool video. Thanks for bringing it up.

We were supposed to be living in a Jetson type of environment by now when I was growing up.

Round, saucer houses on stilts, flying cars, men wearing one piece jump suits, etc.

But here I am,living in a house built in the 30's,remodeled,and still looking for my flying car and wearing Levi jeans.

Technology seemed to slow down for some reason, but is picking up pace communication wise.

But it seems we are somewhat hung up in the transportation and housing phase.

But that's not so bad,we can still draw strength from our past since that's where our strength was.

In the home.

My house was built in 1880 and I fill up my 2012 pickup at the same place mom filled her Electra 225 when I was a kid. You are right about that slowing down.

Yep.we aren't too far from where we were as kids except for tv,cel phones and internet.

I don't see kids playing outside very much these days. That's where we learned, good or bad.But we learned common sense.

think expectations were to high.  Not much can change structurally wise in buildings with the materials we have.  Houses will still be made from 2x4s.... Larger buildings from concrete pillars and reinforced steel, things of that nature.

These cell phones and the internet would have blown peoples minds.

Almost was for my bro n law. He was with my brother and he pulled over for bro n law to pee. Straight down ditch with water on side of road and my brother pulled over to the edge. Straight down and splash he went!
