Shane Ray and Markus Golden will make a name for themselves this year. I expect our D-line to be one of the better lines this year again. Our secondary is the only ? I have but with a relatively unexperienced corp of QBs in the east I'm not too worried about it.

I expect Florida to have the best defense though followed by a herd of West teams.
I think our secondary should be fine and my concern on defense is LB. I think Kenya Dennis will move up to starter at the beginning of the season and him and Penton will be a good pair at cornerback. I also think one of Webb or Singleton will move over to Free Safety and the other will be the starting Strong Safety.

Alabama has finished first in the SEC in total defense every year since 2008.

183 yards allowed per game. In this day and age of offense, that is unfathomable. Your average team regularly gives up about 183 per HALF.

LSU was second in the nation that year in total defense...and they gave up an average of nearly 80 yards MORE per game than Alabama. Nobody was remotely close.

The '11 Bama defense gave up 2,387 yards that year. Next best (nationally) was South Carolina...who gave up 3,480.
