I didn't mean that our offense will be as good as Auburn's was last year.

If we can get an offense into the 60s of scoring and total O, the rest of y'all are screwed.

Blues
Koolade is good. I like the blue frozen ice pops too. I guess what I'm saying is I believe part of what you say but I'm not sold on the orange yet

Idk, we may have some circus freaks in the specialists department. Just need some newbie OL to give them 3-5 seconds.

i may be wrong but y'all's defense can't carry an offense being that bad.  I think y'all would be 4-8, 5-7.

I guess we will see. It really will come down to the new DL and depth issues.

We'll have the best defense in the East again and are now running an offense suited to our players.
Sounds like Auburn except we have a sure thing on D.

You've really never explained why you think 4-8 is Muschamp's norm and not 11-2.

I'm inclined to believe that you don't follow our program, except for what other Gamecocks say.

I don't think 4-8 is the norm....but I don't think 11-2 is either. He lost to an FCS at UF of all places. I don't care how banged up the team is, that's inexcusable. Plus he comes off as somewhat of a prick off the field and a raging lunatic on it. It's probably hard to work with him, which explains the lack of continuity. And without continuity it makes things harder for a team. He could probably average 8-9 wins at UF, and if he stays there a few years I'm sure he'll win the East. I just don't see it happening with the schedule this year.

Overconfident

His first season, where he dismissed our best defensive player before the season began, we finished in the Top10 of total defense.
His second season, we finished Top5.
His third season, in which we lost half our defensive starters we finished Top15.
That's as close to a sure thing as you can get, especially considering all our offenses have finished outside the Top100 during that span.

This explains a lot.
What made you think he's a prick off the field?
I'm guessing it's one off-handed comment that you took personal offense to.

Lack of continuity?
You mean our OC leaving after he was offered a Big12 Head Coach position?
Or our OC getting fired, and deservedly so?

Cocky, you ignant.

Obviously UF was banged up last year, and I expect them to improve. But still....losing to an FCS school is pathetic considering how well UF recruits. I haven't been impressed with Muschamp or Driskel. I guess we'll see. But going from 4-8 to winning the East would be a hell of a jump, especially with that schedule.

You do realize that we tied for the East in 2012 with a similar schedule, right? UGA went to Atlanta because our lone SEC loss was to them.

And how could anyone be impressed with Driskel; he's only played 1 full season and learned 3 different offenses.

The only reason for optimism as far as Gator fans are concerned is he's about to finally play in an offense familiar to him and suited to his game... hopefully he'll stay healthy too.

Hey, Gators are just as guilty as we are of overzealous expectations

  Since when? Hell, we've been more critical of our own program than our rivals; self-deprecating to the extreme. But don't expect us to just ignore the facts from last year either... we ain't making Posted Image up.

That said, comparing Dawg fans expectations when they have absolutely no recent reason to think Natty, to Gator fans, whose team has won 3 since UGA last won 1, is hilarious.

Its because they feel they have a "common enemy" aka Georgia. USCe and Georgia are each others biggest competition in the East and UF is struggling to stay relevant by waving their BCS balls around from 5 years ago. That and they are finally realizing they dont have the mental dominance of us in Jacksonville anymore. We are winning there now.

  Did you really just compare a UF Natty 5 years ago to UGA last winning one 34 years ago; and try to make some correlation about reasonable expectations?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but UF ain't going away; y'all are talking more yak about a 3-game winning streak than we did about our 7-game streak, the 6-game streak a game later, and the 2 and 3-game streaks after those.

In fact, Richt has been so bad against UF that it's taken this 3-game streak for him to get to 5-8. Posted Image

Don't get me confused. I couldn't care less about our Natty 8 years before i was born. I wasn't around to enjoy it so we coulda won a dozen and it would have made no difference to me.  And i am in NO way discrediting UF's accomplishments with their most recent Nattys.

I don't think UF is going away....however now that USCe has stepped their game up..when i look at our schedule now....UF is in the same boat as Vandy, UT, and Ole Miss.

UF will be the same this year as they were last. Great defense, questionable QB in another new offense with another new offensive coordinator...blah blah.

In a nutshell....the streak grows to 4 in Jacksonville and USC will again be the highlighted game on our schedule.   They are always solid and the games are usually fantastic to watch. When UGA wins in Jacksonville the stadium is empty after the 3rd QB and the crocodile tears are flowing..
