Florida freshman cornerback Jalen Tabor was cited for marijuana possession of less than 20 grams on May 27, a misdemeanor, according to a Gainesville Police Department incident report. Tabor was a five-star recruit and Florida's top-rated prospect in the 2014 recruiting class.
According to the GPD report, Tabor was stopped near the University House apartment complex at 725 NW 13th St. on May 27 at 1:22 a.m. when an officer smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle he was a passenger in.
"A probable cause search of [the defendant] yielded a small baggie of cannabis which fell out of his shorts when [the defendant] exited the vehicle," the police report signed by officer C.M. Futrell stated.
Tabor denied possession of the marijuana after being read his Miranda rights, according to the report.
On June 3, Tabor reached a deferred prosecution agreement on the misdemeanor marijuana charge, according to Alachua County court records. Tabor must avoid breaking any federal or state laws and county or municipal ordinances for six months. In addition, he must pay $100 in prosecution fees to the Office of the State Attorney and donate $150 to Project Payback or serve 12 hours of community service in order to have the charge dismissed.
"Jalen has faced consequences for his actions and is very remorseful," coach Will Muschamp said in a statement. "He is aware that this is not how we represent the University of Florida."

May? This is July. Wonder if there's just been a shortage of Gainesville Green the last couple years, or if the players fear Muschamp more than they did Meyer... been like a year since somebody got arrested and that was for a player back-barking a police dog.

Weed ...not such a huge deal. If he were a UGA player I'd be more concerned that this kid has yet to play a down for us and has already been in trouble.  Same Posted Image happened with JHC

Dumb dog was in the car and barked at people as they walked by; he barked back. They even tried to charge him with resisting arrest when the dash cam shows he didn't resist.

What the dash cam did show was that the most serious offense committed that night (littering) was by a cop, when he swatted Morrison's Gatorade bottle off the hood into the ditch.

Dashboard cams are turning out to be GPD's worst nightmare; they're getting the Gestapo in more trouble than the people they detain. At least 1 area LEO got himself dismissed when his dash cam showed he lied on his report.

Lol. You'd think they would disable those things before dishing out some street justice. SMH.

Nevertheless, i would never bark at a pissed off police dog barking at me. With my luck, the dog would open the door, bust the window out and i would be dinner.

Well, when you go into college looking like the honey badger, you may as well do it 100%.
