Msu can go back to being the maroons like they were in the 60's. Anybody else will have to invent a name. Maybe the ark water bottles. The Lsu swamp. The Florida sands. The vandy iqs. Maybe ole miss will become the groves. Doesn't all that sound like fun? Maybe time to start a thread to sign your name to protesting name changes for sports teams. See if any media picks it up.

Watched it. I got the impression most natives could care less and its only a small minority that have issues with the word Redskins. The ones that do have a problem consider it a slang term only to be used by other natives. Similar to the "N" word used between black people. Yeah the dictionary definition defines it as a bad word and I'm not native so who am I to say. I think the difference is that black people, from what I can tell, don't want anyone using the "N" word unless they are black; where as the majority of natives actually encourage the word Redskin as an honor to their heritage. And I bet you the Redskins have the most native fans right up their with the Chiefs.

Snyder would make a ton of money if he switched names so its not a financial thing. Yeah he might lose a few bucks in the short term having to change signage and what not but with all the new sales in merchandise he would make a killing. So money isn't a motivator.

Its a family deal for Snyder. You could tell 2 things. He doesn't like to lose or be told to change, and that the name Redskins was important to his father and therefore its important to Daniel. With the way the other owners and Goodell are supporting Snyder I think nothing will ever happen.

My opinion.....I think America is too PC and I support Snyder not being told what he "has" to do. I'm sick of this Posted Image frankly. We've become soft and people are afraid to hurt a few peoples feelings so we bend over backwards to appease everyone. I'm not going to argue my opinion cuz I'm not changing my opinion, just like Snyder shouldn't.

Toodles

Edit: Oh, and Chris Cooley is a meathead and shouldn't be used in any capacity defending the Redskins usage of the word Redskins.

I don't know. Next thing you know women and the makers of Tampax will be claiming Crimson Tide is offensive. Surely if Michael Sam didn't have a problem playing for the Packers, no one should complain.

Big protest today. Looks like 5 people are offended. More proof of what I said before "We've become soft and people are afraid to hurt a few peoples feelings so we bend over backwards to appease everyone".

Seems like it took folks a long time to get pissed off about this.

I've got native American blood in me as many others do.

This is much ado about nothin.
