" (Dakota) Prescott completed 58.4 percent of his passes in 2013, 11th among the 13 SEC quarterbacks with enough attempts to qualify. He threw 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions, a TD-to-INT ratio more on par with Arkansas' Brandon Allen (13-10) than Manziel. "  -Hugh Kellenburger

Fun fact for the Magnolia State.  Ole Miss and Mississippi State are now the only schools to have never won an AP or NCAA championship in Football, Men's Basketball or Baseball.

The 1960 Ole Miss football team begs to differ.

Yes, quite a while ago, but relevant nonetheless.

Vandy wasn't ranked?

There are only 8 national seeds, so only 8 of 64 have a number beside them. Vandy was on the edge of a national seed but did not get one. Probably didn't deserve one

If you're going by that, UT only has two instead of the 6 that most vol fans claim.

In 1960, OM finished #2 and #3 in the AP and coaches respectively. So his argument is still valid.

Really?

So you'll argue with the official NCAA.com listing of 1960?

Those two polls may be the most popular, but that hasn't always been the case.

The NCAA doesn't award or sponsor National Championships for FBS football; they only acknowledge that other selectors have awarded them to teams.

They didn't win the AP championship and there is no NCAA Football Division 1A/FBS championship.

Kentucky is then only school to not have been to Omaha.

Damnit.
