Played at Culman yesterday. Shot 80. 42 front nine and missed 6 five foot putts. Drove the green on a 325 yd par 4. Had a little help doing it. Wind behind me, hit a sharp mound just right which spring boarded the ball towards the green and the ball went thru an area just off the green they had mowed lower than around the rest of the green. Golf gods were liking me.

"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. Taylormade SLDR 9 degree
Taylormade SLDR 3 and 5 fairway
Ping 5-PW blades
Ping Zing 2,3,4 irons
Cleveland Reg 588 56, 60
Scotty Cameron
Ping stand bag

I fool around with a Taylormade rescue and a Never Compromise putter sometimes. I like the looks of the new Big Bertha...in golf I'm a firm believer in forgiveness and Calloway is pretty hard to beat..

"I didn't come to Alabama to win 10 games a year and be a contender. I came here to win championships, Conference Championships, and National Championships. I love it here because that's not just what I want, but what this fan base expects." -Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban

If they were the stock graphite yes. But the shafts I had in those irons are worth more than the irons themselves. Couple tour guys use them so I don't feel so bad.

But yes, my shoulder is fully healed and I"m ready to get back to steel. I'm probably headed back to camp Ping.
I'm not going to be able to play the rest of the year so I'd really like to sell every damn club in the bag and start completely fresh next spring.

'Bout to pick up some new to me irons as well.

May be strange but I actually like the older Ping Eye 2 irons better than most newer clubs; so I've been looking at a few sets at various sites and local shops.

I've always liked ping irons. Just couldn't justify spending 1k on the set I liked

That would be so much fun! Golf and fishing equipment are a blast to buy!

Especially when the wife makes the mistake of letting me go by myself to buy'em. :)
