you can both keep telling yourselves that.  times have changed my friend, and you can hang on to all those past glories if you choose to, but it aint gonna help you none when we continue to beat you year in year out, while giving one away every now and then...ill take the better overall ranking and record every year, as would any sane human being!
Yes, but how many years does spurrier have left? There's a chance USC gets there own Dooleyin the future. When does his contract expire?

I'm curious to see what happens to SC after Spurrier leaves.

Possible...but not very likely. UT had a horrible AD who fired a Vol legend and had to settle for Kiffin(coaches are usually skeptical to take a job when a good/great coach is fired). Obviously Kiffin was a bad hire, as most people could tell at the time. Same with Dooley...and they were turned down a lot because of the instability.

SC is a hell of a lot better than it was when Spurier was hired, and he'll leave on his own terms. It doesn't matter how much time is left on his contract. Plus the next coach will walk into a program with lots of talent in a talent rich state and a patient fanbase. They'll also have an AD who coached a team to back to back national titles in one of the big three sports, and knows what it's like from the coaches point of view. Our AD is also making good investments and support is at an all time high. That's a little different than when UT had to make a hire.

So yeah we could make a bad hire, but I don't have any reason to think we will...or that we'll have to settle for our 5th choice.

You shouldn't be, everyone already knows. South Carolina isn't Florida, where a blind monkey could recruit a top class consistently every year. The top recruits SC gets are the mamas boys afraid to leave home.

Around The SEC@AroundTheSEC · 13h

Kentucky's Scoring Offense rank of #13, and Scoring Defense rank of #13 in the #SEC was the worst combination in the league in 2013.

27 game winning streak in football.
3 game winning steak and season sweep in basketball.
1 game winning steak in baseball.

infinite winning streak in anything else that is awesome.

they are not a rival.
