Obviously, we've been trying to beef up the OOC schedule to prevent so many home games against the Georgia States and Western Carolinas of the world.

We already have a matchup in Dallas against a very respectable/strong Wisconsin program to open the '15 season, but the only other OOC game we have set in stone is ULM. We have two dates to fill and we want to avoid scheduling two embarrassing creampuffs.

Enter Cincinnati. An American conference representative, a team that won 9 games last year and made an appearance in the Belk Bowl. They would certainly be an intriguing matchup.

And I hear they have a head coach that not too many 'round these parts care for...one that scurried off before the Tide could give him a few long overdue beatdowns.

And every report I'm reading is saying 'games'. Meaning a home and home for a non-marquee opponent? ala what we did with Duke a few years ago?

Ain't nothin intriguing about Nati. My high school football field is the same size as what they play on.

All fields from pee wee to NFL are the same size.

The thing about that OOC matchup is it won't qualify as one of Bama's SEC-mandated games against a team from a premier power conference... the Big East/AAC got dropped from what used to be referred to as AQ (power) conferences.

Obviously Wisky would fill that role; but if those games got cancelled for any reason, which seems to happen a lot as teams near the date they're scheduled to play, a game against UC wouldn't satisfy the new SEC rule.
