That puts us on a more level playing field in the sec. Finally. Been playing behind the 8 ball for too long. No reason to suspend kids who wouldn't be suspended at other schools.

Pretty sure stealing from the university gets you gone a 99% of SEC schools. UGA with check gate and Bama with bookstore gate seem to be the 2 exceptions.

A simple misdemeanor for a 1st time offender in a pre-trial diversion likely leads to no suspension anywhere.

Malzahn was already clearing out a locker too..

Most universities have a thing about getting kids gone when they steal from the schools AD. This isn't a drunk in public level issue. This is an actual crime.

No, you are making up your usual brand of bs, but if you can provide a policy from the vols proving such, I would be willing to believe you. The court system seems to disagree with you as well.

Can you give an example of a similar situation at another school in which the player(s) wasn't suspended?

Im sure if his pizza delivery guy added a zero to the end of the amount on the check he would be very upset if they fired the guy and really ok with just a good scolding.

Was Dion lecorn suspended for his weed arrest? Was jameis Winston suspended for stealing seafood?

it should be common knowledge that Uga goes further than our peers in regards to punishment, which really serves no purpose other than to help our opponents, so I understand why our rivals are mad.

Not that I really care either way, but when determining a punishment for my child after being caught doing something i do not approve of, I never use what my neighbor did to their child as a point of reference..... especially when their actions almost seemed to condone the behavior.

Of course he would...he knows the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor.

My point is, people seem more inclined to forgive someone of wrongdoing, when they are not personally affected by the wrongdoing. It wasnt him they were stealing from so why should he be punished on gameday as a fan when his bank account was never compromised by a thief?
