Okay baseball people I am still confused, I understand if you lose two you are out, but if you win two do you advance?

No, you have to win your bracket (4 teams in each bracket).

Let's assume Vanderbilt wins tonight. Then UC-Irvine and Texas would play in a loser's bracket game (assuming Texas holds on against L'ville today - currently leading 3-0). The winner of Texas and UC-Irvine would then have to defeat Vanderbilt twice. Vanderbilt would only have to win once since they won their first two games and had not lost yet.  Then Vanderbilt would advance to the championship series (against the other bracket winner), which is a head-to-head, best of 3 series.
