The smaller schools are gonna be really fukked if this happens.

1.) the larger conferences will be at an even great advantage

2.) the smaller schools will get even worse

3.) strength of schedule will go down even more if you play a small school

4.) less games against schools that can write big checks = less money

5.) less money causes even more of a disadvantage

6.) Power conferences become NFL Jr.

7.) profit

That would stymy the growth of programs like State, Vandy, UK, OM, etc and would set teams that were rebuilding back even further, like Arky and UT.
Hail State anyway.

Say, for example, you replaced a couple of your OOC games with an Ohio State or an FSU, or USC, Oregon, you name it. With four already tough games like Auburn, Bama, LSU, and TAMU, you basically just cut State's chances of going to a bowl down significantly. Without appearances in the post season, which generates revenue and keeps bringing fans back to generate even more revenue, things tilt south in a hurry.

Plus, like Cockey said, the smaller schools would go under. A lot of their revenue is generated by bigger teams paying them to get the crap kicked out of them.
Hail State anyway.
