UGA fans can now whine about SC not playing Bama again until 2019.

We don't like it either.  I think this schedule is dumb.  We want to play Bama again.  And besides, UGA hasn't played them since 2008 someone pointed out.

Yeah..... thats not going to happen. We think about SC for 1 week out of the year

They will still complain about UGA not playing Arkansas in 2011 though

You know the simple solution to this is: Division Standings based on division record, only use conference record to break a 3 team tie in which each team beat one and lost to the other situation.  Require each team to play 2 teams from the other division, teams may opt for a permanent rivalry for one game or allow the SEC to schedule both games.

No one cries that UGA didn't play anyone or Florida has to play LSU or whatever.  These games are still important as are all games against real opponents since they count for bowls and national rankings but in this case they only have a very small chance to account for a division championship.

that would have put us in the title game in 2011 against Alabama instead of Georgia...I like it!  ive always said division games should count for more than cross divisional games!

Why don't ya'll just move back to the ACC instead of insisting we change our rules so poor ol' SC can make it to Atl

The rules, divisions, and scheduling are fine. The only thing they need to change is the rotation on the other division opponents. Using Kentucky as my example, we alternate with State every year, and then we should have it set in stone that we play the other 6 West schools in a set order, alternating every season home and away.  This year we picked up @LSU. 6 seasons from now LSU should come here. That eliminates any bitching about schedule favoritism.  We played Bama last year and we'll be in Tuscaloosa in 2016 or 17. We went to Arkansas the season before that and we don't see them again until like 2020.  aTm isn't going to set foot in Lexington until 2025.  It just doesn't make any sense.

I am pulling for the ACC/Big 12 proposal so we can Posted Image can divisions, keep our most important rivalry games, stay at 8 games, play every team at least once every four years and see the BEST 2 teams face off in Atlanta.

But most people don't seem to like the idea

Go figure...
They don't think it be like it is, but it do!

Records for teams against there permanent opp in the BCS era, not counting when we had two permanents sorted by wins, west teams listed first.

Arkansas     10-6   South Carolina
Mississippi State 10-6   Kentucky
Mississippi     9-7   Vanderbilt
Alabama    8-7   Tennessee
Auburn 7-9    Georgia
LSU   7-9    Florida
Texas A&M    4-6    Missouri (I doubt I have to explain why they are together)

No wonder South Carolina wanted to trade for Texas A&M.
