Is it lack of development or do the recruiting services just overrate certain schools? I mean even lowly Arkansas had 4 players drafted, none of them over 3*s.

The only mention they got this draft was case mccoy's twitter comment when Michael Sam got drafted.

Was Shaw expected to be drafted? Didn't watch rounds 3-7 but I was surprised at the ones left out, namely him and Quincy, along with Garrison Smith from GA

Heard ol' AJ came off as too cocky, he was a tad off in his prediction

shaw was supposed to be a late rounder, quarrels and Hampton were supposed to be mid rounders, but none were selected, and all went free agency route!

Not sure, because Jeffcoat was just 1 of a class littered with 4* and 5* players; but he was an All-American, Ted Hendricks winner, and B12 DPOY, so he obviously developed at least some.

Something had to scare teams away from JJ; no idea what.

A lot of it could be chalked up to lack of development, as opposed to being overrated because of the school they committed to; because their players in that class were highly ranked even before they committed to Texas

"The Texas shutout, however, was one of the big surprises of the draft.

The Longhorns entered the weekend with six draft hopefuls, including All-American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Jackson Jeffcoat, who also won the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's top defensive end. All 32 NFL teams attended Texas' pro day March 26 to scout Jeffcoat and other Texas prospects.

After advancing to the 2009 national championship game, Texas signed the nation's No. 2 recruiting class, which included Jeffcoat and 18 other players who were given either four or five stars. But that class never lived up to its billing, and the Longhorns went just 30-21 over the last four years."

http://espn.go.com/n...players-drafted

Texas was only 1 of 2 teams in the Big 12 that didn't have anyone drafted; Kansas didn't have anyone drafted either. The B1G and Big 12 were the only major conferences with 2 teams not having a draft pick.

LSU gonna suck this year.
When it's 3rd and 10, we shuffle out our secret weapon... he's the only person we ever want calling the next play... some call him the twelfth man.... we call him the whiskey drinker...

What other QB's do they have besides Smith? Will he be the 2nd string?
