Considering this movie only came out this weekend, you probably could have left a major spoiler out of your OP. I'm editing it.

Got to see it this weekend as well at a drive in which had digital just installed in the off season and the double feature was Winter Soldier. Got to say that I was not disappointed by either flick. Was a bit shocked as you were with that one part of the Spidey movie.

It was a solid movie.  A lot more acting and plot/character development than most Super Hero movies.

I'm a Spiderman comic buff and a harsh critic and I absolutely loved it.

I've yet to see the first Amazing Spiderman, but that was easily one of my favorite comic series. He's much more enjoyable as a character and the Maximum Carnage spinoff is my all-time favorite. Probably time for me to get back into it and check these two movies out.

My hope for a darker movie with Carnage in the future still possible?

They've announced a Venom spin-off and the Marvel website teased a fake article written by Brock with Cletus Kasady as the subject. It's all but guaranteed at this point.

The only question is whether he'll first appear in one of the next two announced Spider-Man movies or the Venom spin-off.

So far they've announced Amazing Spiderman 3 and 4 as well as Venom and Sinister Six spin-offs.

I was incredibly pessimistic after the first one, but the second has given me hope.

@Tider27 Don't even see the first one, it's crap. You can seamlessly skip to the second.

Never been a huge comic book guy, but if I had to pick, Spiderman would be my favorite with Batman close behind. I never got into Superman. What do you have to fear when you're basically invincible?
I'm certain the national media is relieved. They can kiss State's ass and go back to the old "Ole Miss is Waycist" narrative. Meanwhile I hope Gameday has fun in Morgantown. Look out for burning couches!

oh he sucked ass so bad...not a snarky, smart ass, what-so-ever except when Venom got a hold of him for 15 minutes in the third episode.  Toby can go pump himself.
