When they come to Alabama they know what the scene is. They know they may have been top dog at their HS, but this is something else. This is the stage where the men are separated from the boys. The first day the freshmen get a  look at the veteran players on the field it hits home what they are up against. They either decide to get in the ring, and fight for a place on the team or they run away to a place where they don't have to compete so much for PT. But they know what they are getting into either way.

Given the number of talented players at Alabama, Saban is no longer filling needs.  It's more like Alabama is stockpiling talent just to prevent them from playing elsewhere.
dang...that sounds familiar :)
"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

Arguing with Carolina fans on schedules is a big black hole, I've seen them murder a Georgia fan in the corner over it, deliverance style.

Bama schedules OOC opponents who are among the best in the nation when the pen meets paper. It just so happens by the time the ink dries those teams are already far from a team like Alabama, and now Bama is crap for not scheduling a top opponent. If you can't realize the hypocrisy there, not much else can be said.

Also, Clemson is a perennial high ranking cupcake USC has the pleasure of reaming. I for one can't complain there, but it does make the schedule look awfully better.

It is a roll of the dice when you make schedules a long time ahead. Teams can do complete turnarounds within a short span of time. In fact there is a new team on the field every season. No season is like any other, so when you are making schedules you never really know WHAT you are getting.

Hope you're not referring to me?

I've never slammed a team for their schedule, and would like to see you show it if I did.  My previous comment(s) were basically a disagreement on the statement that ANY West team automatically plays a tougher schedule than ANY East team simply because they are in the West.
