In what universe is 29-11, 12-6 better than 36-3, 18-0? You lost to the same UConn team we did; if you'd played them in the FF instead of the finals, we'd have probably been in the finals instead.

Just because college basketball essentially mandates that the 2 teams in the finals end the season ranked 1 and 2, don't go thinking UK was better than UF... we punked y'all's ass 3 times last season in every environment available.

The only team UK beat last year that UF lost to was Wisky, and that early UF loss to Wisky was 6 points and came without Wilbekin and DFS available... hell, we had walk-on forward Jacob Kurtz playing 21 minutes.

On the other hand, the teams UF beat that UK lost to were us obviously (3 times), UAr (who you lost to twice), LSU, and USC (of all teams).

So, you can say we're 2nd place in this conference all-time; but make no mistake, no one gives a damn what UK did either, runner-up is still 1st loser... and UK was 2nd place in this league last year.
No one cares about the regular season. When ppl look back all they see is what a team did in the tourney. You guys sound like Kansas fans who are just as happy with 10 consecutive regular season titles as they are a real title.

The regular season is nothing more than a tool to prepare a team for the tourney.

Precisley.  No one gives a Posted Image how great a year the Pacers had after the Hawks send them home in Round 1.  You beat us this year. Congrats. So Posted Imageing what.  We're so far ahead of you in wins and losses its a drop of piss in a very big, big, pool.  No different than if we were to beat you in football.  The postseason is what matters in CBB, always.  If you guys want to be Ole Miss and make rings for SECT be our guest.

Except, if a change was needed, he would be much harder to get rid of than someone who had no ties to Mizzou.

Yeah, that's a good point. Hell, I don't know. If he can recruit at all, I think he'll be alright.

Posted Image Posted Image Spin it any way you want, a nice little run in the tourney that doesn't end in a title is just that... a nice little run.

Nobody remembers who the runner-up was except that team's fans.

In the meantime we at least put some trophies in the case and broke several records (records UK previously held); but we can all understand Cats fans only wanting to recognize the highlights of a season and ignoring the embarrassing ones.

Bottom line, UF lost 3 games last year; 2 to the National Champions and 1 to a Final Four team.

In stark contrast, UK lost 11 games last year; and 4 of them were to 3 teams that didn't even make the tournament.

That Posted Image's spin-proof.

Started with a UK suggesting Anderson should cheat to land recruits, and ended with UK fans being so unbelievably conceited that they think they get to define what makes a season memorable or noteworthy, and decide who has a legitimate right to be proud of their team's season.

Just some of the same-old same-old.

This argument is a lost cause. Clearly we have different mind sets. I've always believed success was ultimately proven in the tourney while everything previous was preparation. Every UK fan has always thought this way.

How successful do you think Duke was this season? Kansas? Syracuse?

No, no, let's not let facts get in the way.  Remember, we're supposed to let them say whatever they want about UK wherever and then not respond.  Wouldn't want to upset their delicate sensibilities.

If you don't want us to be pricks then quit talking Posted Image about UK.  You know what response you're going to get.  If you think you can just make whatever disparaging remark you want and then get all offended when we respond, deal with it or stop the Posted Image talk. Pretty simple.

It doesn't matter how successful I think they were, only how successful their own fans think they were.

Who the Posted Image died and gave UK fans the authority to belittle or dump on other team's fans because they have enough humility to appreciate their regular season or a conference title?

If UK fans don't consider those things a success for their own team, that's their prerogative.

But by suggesting other teams' fans are petty for enjoying, celebrating, or appreciating anything other than a NC, you've pretty much dumped on the fans of 11 SEC teams and about 325 other teams in the country.

That's pathetic.

It was? I'll have to go back and check, but I could've sworn Joe responded to one of your remarks; and was then promptly told he was butthurt.

I'm still trying to figure out how Gator fans could possibly be butthurt after the season we had and the commits we've landed; but I've read sillier Posted Image on this site before... not much sillier, but sillier just the same.

GTFO with your UK and UF trash talk. This thread is for Mizzou fans to complain about this freaking hire.

That's one giant hypocritical statement. You just dumped on our "nice lil run" that ended with a runner up of all things. I just mentioned the mind set of a UK fan. Similar mindset to Florida football fans actually when it comes to which bowl games they go to.
