Looks like it's going to be either Arkansas or Georgia for the SEC's third team in the tourny next year.

Can he recruit, or is he one of those guys who tries to develop numerous 3* recruits until he finally squeezes into the tourney.
Development is over rated nowadays.
Not a recruiter, that's why we NEED to keep Fuller on staff.

You guys are more fun when you're fired up and have a chance.  Hopefully he pans out so the Posted Image talk can continue.

Not an exciting hire, but his team did win the national title this year for div 2. He's just so old. Hopefully they are planning on getting a head coach in waiting kinda guy for him to groom. Maybe Fuller.

I read up on all 3 of the guys in contention, and they were all around the same age... you were going to get a senior citizen one way or the other.

At least you didn't end up with a Stephen King carnival experiment and hire the offspring of the Big Top clown and the World's Shortest Dwarf... I think Clowndwarfs probably spend a lifetime trying to be taken seriously and get some respect.

That method hasn't worked out too bad for UConn; they've had several 3* sprinkled in with their 4* and few 5* players... 2 of the last 4 NC's speaks for itself.

The problem for me isn't that we're bringing in a senior citizen. It's that we are bringing in a senior citizen that has no D1 head coaching experience.

There's always an exception. Jim Calhoun is one of them. Once his recruits have left i'd like to see what Ollie can do. UK fans praised Tubby and looked how that turned out.
Now that i think about it, Pitino is also in that category.

I was exaggerating a bit about the whole developing comment. Even Cal hones his players strengths in a single season.

@GatorUnvrsty, can you post a wall of stats telling me why this is a terrible hire?
