I think he would eventually win, but you can't blame people for having reservations about his ability to build a program.

and what about his time at Michigan State makes you say he couldn't win there?

Not a SEC coach but I like Dantonio from Mich. St. He has a great staff also.

Agreed. I'd like to see SC go after him after Spurrier. Dantonio played for SC which I just found out this past season so that could help if we were to ever pursue him.

That would be a good fit. His DC Pat Narduzzi is the key piece of the puzzle

That was before he made a name for himself at LSU, and every recruit respected him.

Saban would win at SC, but it's pointless to argue if it would be better than Spurrier. No doubt in my mind he could, but that's because I knew how pitiful the whole program was here before he arrived.

I'm not jealous of bama recruiting wise. I want people who wanna play for us for being a up and coming instead of players just riding the bandwagon. Saban is a great coach but he has always had queens, knights, and bishops to work with. Spurrier started with a bunch a pawns and later got a couple of bishops which helped change the program. Give saban Kentucky right now and I bet it takes him 4 years to change that program.
and by change you mean rich brooks level right?

why is it so hard for Alabama fans to understand this?

I like dantonio also, and knowing he is a former Carolina player, I still wouldn't take him...
