Trolling? Insert joke here about struggling team.

Serious? I think Ark is in the running.

- FB just had it's worst season since joining the SEC, worst first season for a coach since Jack Crowe took over from Hatfield, and arguably worst season ever since 1942.

- MBB team hasn't been really relivent since 1996-1997. Few flashes here and there, but hasn't ended a season ranked since 1999.

- Baseball team started the year #1 last year and failed to make it out of Regionals. After making it to Omaha the year before.

- Women sports have done nothing.

- Only thing relevant is the T&F teams but I bet half the Arky fans don't know the coach's name and still think Coach McDonnell is there.

I think Arkansas has a decent case too, but you at least have hope.

A&M goes in the same category as Penn State. Way too delusional to realize how sad they should be.

Tennessee and Nebraska are both football bluebloods, but Nebraska has a coach that hates them and keeps giving them 4 loss seasons after being the biggest powerhouse of the 90s.
I mean... they have 5 consensus national championships in the modern era, but I don't think there is any hope to ever return to glory.
That is sad.

I say Nebraska, because at least Tennessee (and Arky) have the promise of being in the SEC, and the mountains of cash that brings with it.

Nebraska is a fossil of a once proud program. I seriously doubt they will ever return to the dominance their fanbase grew accustomed to in the early 90s.
They left the Big12, a conference that was obviously a descendant of a proud conference which Nebraska was a founding member (if memory serves correctly) for the B1G. If thats not sad, I don't know what is.

Exactly.
The B1G doesn't even respect them.
Terrible.

I was going to say UTEP...has anyone here ever been to El Paso?  It's enough to make you want to nibble on the barrel of a .38.  And if you live there....

Nebraska suffers from changing demographics and priorities. They have fewer black athletes that could provide the diversity in athletic abilities (speed, agility, etc). They are in the boring, cold, northern Midwest. And I think pride and interest in football is waning. And their coach hates them.
