Junior Justin Shafer (Lake Wales, Fla.) (2-for-3) belted a walk-off homer with two down in the ninth inning to lift Florida (17-9/4-3 SEC) to a 2-1 victory over No. 4 LSU (20-6-1/3-3-1 SEC) on Saturday afternoon in the opener of a doubleheader at McKethan Stadium.

Sweet, I'd really like it if we could back up an opening game win with a series win, unlike the TAMU series... this team is still trying to find the right lineup and pitching combinations.

Hell yeah, ask and ye shall receive; UF hammers LSU 6-2 in the 2nd game of the double-header for the series win... Gushue with a 3-run homer that broke the game wide open for UF.
