Be sure to get them well done.  It will take several hours.

Several hours? How long is the best to get them pretty soft but not mushy?

I've been watching Ken Burns Civil War Documentary and have been doing a lot of internet scouring.  Came across this interesting tidbit: CSA soldiers nicknames.  Georgia....I'll let you guys explain that one

Alabama - Yellow Hammers
Arkansas - Toothpicks
Florida - Gophers
Georgia - Goober Grabbers
Kentucky - Corn Crackers
Louisiana - Tigers
Mississippi - Sand Lappers
Missouri - Border Ruffians
North Carolina - Tar Heels
South Carolina - Rice Birds
Tennessee - Hog Drivers
Texas - Cowboys
Virginia - Tobacco Worms

Quote

Just before the battle, the General hears a row
He said, "The Yanks are coming, I hear their rifles now"
He turns around in wonder and what do you think he sees?
The Georgia Militia eating goober peas
Peas, peas, peas, peas
Eating goober peas
The Georgia Militia
Eating goober peas

They don't think it be like it is, but it do!

I caught an episode of that show about war between the clans in the Ozarks. Is everyone that doesn't live in the Ozarks a flat lander?

Lots of variables-heat, amount, etc

Start checking them after two hours.  If you are go more than four, then there is a problem.

Don't do like this Mizzou fan that was sitting next to my best friend at a football game.  He was eating them shell and all, wondering why they weren't all that good.

LMAO that's terrible.
There is this really old dude that had a wagon with several coolers full of them that he brings around to tailgates in Gainesville.
I have to have my fix for the day every time I'm at a game.

It is OK if they turn out mushy.
I actually like them better that way.

We have the Ouachita mountains and actually Arkansas is pretty hilly except for the eastern part along the Mississippi river delta.

But I don't know what those folks might call us,but I generally refer to them as no-forkers.The family tree looks like a broom handle.

I resemble that remark.
