So, when is Starkville getting changed to College Station?

They are working on a pact with the big 12. Msu will be our offering to Texas.

It was around 1960 I believe.  Bulldogs was always an unofficial nickname, and came about how you mentioned.  We were the Mississippi A&M Aggies until like the 1920's, then the university was renamed Mississippi State College and we became the Maroons.  Then around 1960 we became MSU and Bulldogs became the official mascot.

Nah, brah. Of one thing you may be sure: Our cheerleaders are sitters, not standers.

I've been watching Ken Burns Civil War Documentary and have been doing a lot of internet scouring.  Came across this interesting tidbit: CSA soldiers nicknames.  Georgia....I'll let you guys explain that one

Arkansas - Toothpicks

It's the Arkansas Toothpicks because people from other states would've been called Teethpicks, right?

Have you ever eaten the boiled peanuts they sell on the way to the gulf?I've seen the signs but it didn't appeal to me.

Food of the gods.  Do not buy those nasty things they sell in stores.  Get them from a road-side stand where the peanuts are cooked on site.

Don't do like this Mizzou fan that was sitting next to my best friend at a football game.  He was eating them shell and all, wondering why they weren't all that good.

I learned here that they were cooked in the shell.I'm thinking of buying a bag and boiling them up,any recipes-ideas are welcome.

Be sure to get them well done.  It will take several hours.

Several hours? How long is the best to get them pretty soft but not mushy?
