Everything I've heard is that Pearl is the top candidate and (because of Anthony Grant being retained) we're the job he's most interested in.

Jay's done nothing but try to figure out the protocol to hire Pearl since the Barbee firing. I even heard that Pearl's already looking into assistants.

Great get for you guys if this works out. I'll definitely have a new respect for Auburn basketball if true.

I can't help but chuckle a little bit; Vols fans will hate y'all for eternity if you snatch Pearl out from under them while they waited for his show-cause order to expire.

Makes me sick, but it would be very smart of Auburn.

I may boycott Bama basketball for a while, ridiculous.

Good grief. Auburn will have a better program than us in about 3 years if this is true.

Maybe, maybe not. Pearl did great things with UT; but if AU does get him, I think he'll have a much tougher time getting them up to speed... UT had some pretty decent basketball history and some fertile recruiting close by.

Possibly, but Pearl is exactly what a dead program would need. Auburn's basketball fanbase would swell much larger than the 27 people who currently care about it now.

Hopefully this is another step towards the SEC becoming halfway decent at basketball.

How about y'all steal martin from us and we get Pearl back?

Does this mean I have to dispose of my Pearl stuff?
