Great news for South Carolina fans, but terrible news for everyone else.  The SEC says the rooster crow will be allowed in SEC games at Williams-Brice Stadium starting with the 2014 football season!

Because it will soon turn into what visiting fans think of Rocky Top.

I did see where the SEC relaxed the rules regarding when artificial noise/music can be pumped in during the game, like in between plays. guess that's what he's talking about.

This.  They used to play it before any big play on defense to get the fans a little louder.   Opposing coaches definitely complained about it in the past.

We brought back the air raid siren from the Couch era last season.  Seems to me they need to get over the noise "issue.". I hate the rooster crow but if it's a SC tradition, it never should have been made to go away.

It was never made to go away, it was just made that they couldn't start blaring it after every play, i.e. before a big 3rd down or something to that effect. no different than the cowbells if we're being honest.

they're trying to allow for more pumped in music during the game. and they're doing it for more fan involvement, because attendance is suffering. same reason they're looking at revising their rules against beer/wine sales.the SEC even isn't immune to people staying home to watch on tv.
